Stats reveal Chelsea's biggest weakness this season — WORST among big six in that area

Stats have revealed that Chelsea are the worst team among the Premier League big six clubs when it comes to holding on to a lead and sealing their victory.

Casemiro, Harry Kane, Conor Coady and Danny Welbeck have all scored against Chelsea in the 89th minute to turn three points into one for the Blues. Last Saturday it was Ellis Simms who came off the bench for Everton to continue to ugly trend.

Graham Potter has been heavily criticized by Chelsea fans for making negative changes after Chelsea go in the lead leading to the equalizer by the opponent.

However, the problem didn't just start with Potter. Since the 2017/18 season, Chelsea have a 76% win percentage after taking the lead. It's the lowest among the traditional Premier League big six according to Opta.

Win percentage among PL big six clubs since 2017/18 season

Losing points from winning positions has been Chelsea's biggest weakness through this season and for some time too.

It's noteworthy that the last time Chelsea had a good win percentage (88%) after taking the lead, they won the league with Antonio Conte.
