Chelsea have released the financial results for the 2021/22 season.
The club has announced an overall net loss of £121.3m, attributing it to 'extraordinary expenses and loss of revenue' as the result of the sanctions placed on the then-owner Roman Abramovich.
Chelsea's turnover increased to £481.3m from £434.9m in the 2020/21 season, largely because the stadiums operated on full capacity after the easing of the Covid-19 restrictions that caused the drop the previous year.
The Blues made a £123.2m profit on 'player trading', having sold Fikayo Tomori, Marc Guehi, Tammy Abraham and Kurt Zouma.
