According to Portuguese media outlet Jornal de Noticias (h/t Sport Witness), Sporting are already in pre-sale mode when it comes to their midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
Multiple sources, including Fabrizio Romano and Sky Sports, have already reported that Chelsea are in talks to sign the Uruguayan, with PSG also interested.
Now, it's claimed that Sporting head coach Ruben Amorim was instructed not to play Ugarte in the last game of the season against Vizela to avoid an injury.
The Portuguese club wants to finish the sale quickly. His future could be decided by the end of the week.
Chelsea and PSG are reluctant to pay €60m release clause in full, offering to do it in instalments instead.
As it stands, Sporting have no preference which means it could be up to Ugarte to decide which club he wants to join.
Playing in the Premier League appeals to him, but the lack of Champions League involvement could be a major factor as well.
