Andrey Santos finally secures work permit to play in Premier League

Andrey Santos is closer to making a Premier League debut for Chelsea after obtaining a work permit, the Evening Standard reports.

That means that if Mauricio Pochettino decides to keep the Brazilian in his first team - or even play him for the youth sides - Santos will be available.

The 19-year-old signed a long-term deal with the Blues in the winter but was unable to link up with the club and remained at Vasco da Gama on loan.

Chelsea are yet to decide on their plan for Santos. The midfielder started the Wrexham friendly and is likely to feature frequently for the remained of their US pre-season tour.
