Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi: 'I want Caicedo and Colwill in my team'

Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi claimed that he wants both to keep Moises Caicedo in his team and bring back Levi Colwill from Chelsea.

"The situation is very clear. Moises is a Brighton player," De Zerbi told a press conference. "I spoke with Tony Bloom and he told me if the conditions don’t change Moises stays with us."

When asked about Colwill, De Zerbi answered: "I don’t like speaking about players of other clubs. I speak about Caicedo because he’s our player. With Levi, I am proud of him. He showed his quality at the U-21 Euros."

It did not take De Zerbi long to break his promise and speak about Colwill.

"I start next season with Caicedo in my head in the first XI. I want Caicedo and Colwill in my team. But we will see. And if there are players who want to leave we have to eventually permit it."

Chelsea have pursued Caicedo's signing for months while also insisting that Colwill is not for sale, with Mauricio Pochettino especially keen on having him in the squad.
