"There's no deadline," Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi said when asked when the Moises Caicedo situation can be resolved.
"I'm happy if Moises stays but we'll play without him as well. We have to be ready to find another midfielder if he leaves."
Chelsea and Brighton are locked in talks over Caicedo. The Blues have offered ₤70m while Brighton want ₤100m - or a permanent transfer for Levi Colwill.
With no other clubs apparently targeting a move for Caicedo and few other options in the market for Chelsea, it looks like a transfer saga that could last up until the final days of the summer.
