'Here we go': Romano confirms Ugochukwu's €27m move to Chelsea

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea have struck a deal with Ligue 1 side Rennes to land midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu.

"Chelsea have sealed the agreement to sign 2004 talent Lesley Ugochukwu," the reporter tweeted.

"€27/28m fee agreed with Rennes. Medical tests already booked. Long term deal also agreed.

"Loan to Strasbourg or staying at Chelsea, decision to be made soon (also with Pochettino). Here we go."

The Frenchman broke into the Rennes first team in 2021 and has since made 47 league appearances for the French side, scoring once.

He's a France U19 international, having been capped 18 times at Les Blues' youth levels.
