Chelsea have agreed a deal with Ligue 1 side Rennes to sign their young midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu, claims The Athletic.
The Blues have reached an agreement to secure his services for a fee of around £23.5 million.
Ugochukwu is scheduled to undergo a medical in the next 24 hours before completing the move.
There is still uncertainty over whether the 19-year-old midfielder will go straight to the first team or play with the reserves first.
He made 35 appearances for Rennes last season, producing an assist. The teenager can play as a defensive midfielder or no.8 and is known for his energy as well as ball-winning ability.
