Brighton 'do not expect to sell' Moises Caicedo despite strong Chelsea interest - BBC

According to BBC, Brighton do not expect to sell Moises Caicedo before the transfer deadline on September 1.

Chelsea have already submitted several bids for the Ecuador midfielder. All of the offers, including the one worth £80m, have been rejected by Brighton out of hand as they demand a feel close to £100m.

Caicedo has been made aware of the club's stance. Brighton believe it won't be an issue, despite earlier reports that he has agreed personal terms with Chelsea.

The Blues have already eyed potential alternatives, like Tyler Adams and Edson Alvarez.

However, it could be a repeat of the Enzo Fernandez situation when Chelsea ultimately caved in to the seller's demands and paid up the required fee at the end of the transfer window.
