Djordje Petrovic confirmed as Chelsea player

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of New England Revolution goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.

The Serbia international has signed a seven-year contract with his new club after the Blues agreed a deal in the region of ₤14m.

Petrovic is expected to back up Robert Sanchez and eventually compete with him for the No.1 role.

The 23-year-old spent a year and four months at his previous club, making 43 league appearances. Before that, he only played football in his home country.
