"I’m so happy to score my first goal at the Bridge," Nicolas Jackson told the official Chelsea website after finding the net in a 3-0 win over Luton.
"It was an amazing night, scoring for this club and getting our first three points of the season. The lads were brilliant and this is just the beginning.
"It was a great cross from Raheem [Sterling] and I was there to finish it off. I loved it! What a night.
"Obviously scoring for Chelsea is just an amazing feeling, but it was even better to do it at Stamford Bridge and in front of the fans.
"I thank them for their support and I hope there’s more to come!"
Perhaps unexpectedly, Jackson has found himself as an undisputed first choice in the No.9 role at the start of his first season at Chelsea.
The 22-year-old earned praise for his hard work, but it took him three games to actually score his first goal.
