Robert Sanchez has conceded five goals in four league appearances so far this season as he unexpectedly became Chelsea's no. 1 after Kepa joined Real Madrid on loan.
A FBRef graphic shows that the Spaniard is among the worst keepers in the league by expected goals (xG) conceded. Sanchez faced shots totalling 4.5 xG but conceded five goals.
This stat shows the goalkeeper's shot-stopping ability — i.e. how effective they are saving shots. In contrast to Sanchez, Sheffield's Foderingham and Fulham's Leno all conceded fewer goals than they should have.
The only positive from this graph is that Ramsdale is worse than Sanchez — but Arsenal can replace him with David Raya, while Chelsea have an unproven entity in Djordje Petrovic on the bench.
