Chelsea still trying to offload one player - Pochettino didn't even remember his name

Malang Sarr is still on Chelsea's books, even though there does not seem to be any prospect of him featuring for the first team ever again.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea have told the 24-year-old that they are happy for him to seek a new club in the countries where the transfer window is still open.

Some of the possible destinations are Turkey and Greece, as well as the Saudi Pro League where the window closes on September 7. Several avenues have been explored, but an agreement on personal terms couldn't be reached.

Sarr has only played 21 games for Chelsea since joining as a free agent in 2020. He spent the last season on loan at AS Monaco.
