'Some trains don't pass twice': Ugochukwu explains reasoning behind his Chelsea move

Lesley Ugochukwu joined Chelsea in the summer on a €27m deal from Rennes. The midfielder has discussed his transfer in a fresh interview.

"When someone tells me you’re young, why did you go to Chelsea? I answer - there are trains that don’t pass twice," he told Le Parisien.

"It’s the start of a new cycle, with new players and new ambitions. I was attracted by what Chelsea want to do and by what they see in me. It’s up to me to prove that I can have a place in the long term."

The 19-year-old is making strides in the first team despite his young age, making three appearances for the Blues so far.
