Marco Verratti snub & more: Fabrizio Romano reveals 5 deals rejected by Chelsea in the summer

Chelsea signed 12 players in the summer while parting ways with 23 players - whether permanently or on loan.

However, in his latest video on YouTube, Fabrizio Romano reveals five deals that Chelsea could've done in the summer but chose not to.

Two of them were experienced midfielders, Marcelo Brozovic of Inter Milan, and Marco Verratti of PSG. Neither of them fitted the age profile of a perfect Chelsea signing, so they ended up in the Middle East instead.

Another player Chelsea decided not to sign was Dusan Vlahovic. Juventus tried to sell him for Romelu Lukaku plus €40m, but neither the Chelsea board nor Mauricio Pochettino was convinced about the signing.

The Blues also rejected offers for their players. AC Milan tried to take Armando Broja on loan, while Liverpool were prepared to make a bid for Levi Colwill. In both cases, Chelsea made it clear that they wanted to keep the players.
