Everton seem to take a dig at Chelsea, one more club as they react to 10-point deduction

Everton were unsurprisingly disappointed by an independent panel's decision to deduct 10 points off them in the Premier League.

In an official statement, the Merseyside club confirmed that they will appeal the sanctions while appearing to take a swipe at Chelsea and Man City who are also under investigation for alleged financial breaches.

"The Club will also monitor with great interest the decisions made in any other cases concerning the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules."

Earlier this week, it was claimed that Chelsea could face a points deduction for alleged secret payments during Roman Abramovich's time at the club.

Man City, meanwhile, face accusations over 115 alleged breaches of the Financial Fair Play.
