German journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that Man United have expressed interest in signing Timo Werner.
Plettenberg tweeted: "Timo Werner: He’s on the list of ManUtd for winter!
"Man United has already inquired about him. No offer or negotiations yet. Real Madrid, not hot.
"Werner, not satisfied with his situation in Leipzig but the players tendency at this stage is to stay at least until summer. One to watch in the next weeks."
The German forward was at Chelsea between 2020 and 2022, scoring 23 goals in 89 appearances. He never hit the heights expected of him at the Bridge and returned to Leipzig last summer.
Werner has scored just two goals in eight Bundesliga appearances for Leipzig so far. Last term, he netted nine goals and provided three assists in 27 league matches.
