'His recovery will depend on him': Pochettino provides timeline for Sanchez injury

Robert Sanchez has been confirmed to be sidelined with injury ahead of Chelsea's League Cup clash with Newcastle.

Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino was asked to provide more information about Sanchez's potential return and the boss said it would be 'weeks' before he returns.

"It’s an injury that is going to be for a few weeks, but I don’t know if it’s two, three, four, five or six," said Pochettino.

"We are going to assess day-by-day; there are things that we need to follow. His recovery will depend on him and the reaction from his knee.

"So it’s difficult to say it will be two or three weeks. We will see. We hope he will be back as soon as possible."
