Reece James opts for surgery, return date revealed

Reece James sustained a hamstring injury against Everton earlier this month. After consultations with doctors, it has been decided that he should go under the surgeon's knife.

Fabrizio Romano tweeted: "Chelsea captain Reece James set to undergo hamstring surgery in Finland — decision has been made with player and club staff involved.

"He’s expected to be back in April, set to miss more than three months this season."

The full-back has already missed over two months of action this season after picking up an injury in August. He's made just nine appearances for Chelsea this season, never playing the full ninety minutes.
