Chelsea to axe five players in January: one earns £100k per week and isn’t even registered as Premier League player

According to The Athletic (h/t Sport Bible), Chelsea are looking to offload five players in January.

The Blues spent big in the summer, bringing in Moises Caicedo, Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson to Stamford Bridge. Looks like now they want to sell big and trim Pochettino's squad the best way possible.

Conor Gallagher is probably the biggest and most surprising name on the list. Gallagher has captained the Blues on 11 occasions this season. However, the interest from Everton, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur and the estimated value of £40 million could really tempt Boehly and Co into selling.

Trevoh Chalobah and Armando Broja are also likely to leave. The former hasn't featured since Pochettino's arrival while Broja's future depends on whether Chelsea bring a new striker in the winter.

Full-back Ian Maatsen rejected a deadline-day move to Burnley in the summer but might change his mind when the January window opens. The Dutchman has amassed 15 outings in all competitions this season but he averages only 25 mins per game - he surely would want more.

Defender Malang Sarr is the last name on the list and nothing is surprising here. Sarr is on a £100,000 weekly wage but he wasn't even registered as a Premier League player! Moreover, Pochettino even seems to forget he has such a player.

The questions are, do you agree these players should leave? Would you add anyone to this list or remove anyone from it?
