Chelsea's Osimhen plan revealed as Napoli refuse to sell in January (reliability: 5 stars)

Signing Victor Osimhen is absolutely impossible this month, reliable reporter Ben Jacobs says on the Si Phillips Talks Chelsea Substack. Napoli are not going to entertain any offers.

But it doesn't stop Chelsea from trying. The Blues want to reach an agreement with Napoli over a summer transfer of the Nigerian.

This is the same trick Chelsea did with Christopher Nkunku. The Frenchman moved to the Bridge in the summer of 2023 but the deal was struck in December 2022.

Osimhen is on eight goals and two assists in 18 appearances across all competitions for Napoli so far this season.
