'Pep rarely gets egg on his face': Guardiola told he was 'nuts' to let Palmer go to Chelsea

Former Premier League player Chris Sutton has said that Man City fans will question Pep Guardiola's decision to let Cole Palmer join Chelsea last summer.

"If you’re a Man City fan, you’ve got to be thinking Pep Guardiola was nuts to let Cole Palmer go," said Sutton in the aftermath of Palmer's brace against Luton Town.

"Pep rarely gets egg on his face but it looks like this time he’s got it wrong. He really does. Palmer has been phenomenal in a struggling Chelsea team."

Palmer has already scored 8 goals in the Premier League this season in addition to his 4 assists for the Blues.

He will hope to pile more misery on his former boss next month when Chelsea take on City at the Etihad.
