Chelsea have recently been linked with Al Ittihad forward Karim Benzema as they are reportedly thinking about signing a forward on loan in January.
However, his lawyer Hugues Vigier has poured cold water on any imminent exit to the Premier League or his ex-club Lyon, saying: “When you are at this level and your results are a little less good at a given moment, we immediately come and say that this is the end of your career.
“I must say that I would be quite happy to see him come back to play in Lyon, I would like it, but he has not announced it to me for the moment.”
Chelsea have not yet made an offer to sign Benzema and seem to be more focused on potentially selling Armando Broja in January, doing so can allow them to sign a new striker in the winter window.
