'We had some good performances against a top team': Gallagher confident ahead of Carabao Cup final

Speaking after the Manchester City game at the weekend, Conor Gallagher said: "It was really hard. I feel that the lads were brilliant and defensively we were very focused.

"We were very tired but we saw it through and we are happy with the performance. It gives us confidence going into the Carabao Cup final. I feel like the lads are confident.

"We have had some good performances, and then today against a top team. I feel like we are going into the next game with a lot of confidence and we are excited for it."

Chelsea, who are not playing in midweek, will have three more days of rest ahead of the EFL Cup final against Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday, February 25.
