Racing Strasbourg president Marc Keller has defended BlueCo's ownership of the club soon after their ultras group wrote an open letter asking for a change of owners.
“BlueCo's arrival was essential to strengthen Racing's competitiveness for years to come," said Keller.
"Without that sale, the sporting project could have suffered. Change is scary, and it is an important change.
"I know that multi-club ownership concerns [fans] and has implications at national and even European levels.
"We are not in a hierarchy, though. Chelsea is a sister club. It sits not above but next to us. Racing remains Racing.”
Strasbourg lost 1-0 to Monaco at the weekend and now sit three points clear of automatic relegation from Ligue 1 and two ahead of a relegation playoff.
