Cucurella receives first Spain call-up in almost 3 years

Marc Cucurella has been called up by Spain to replace the injured Jose Gaya.

The Chelsea left-back returned from injury earlier this month and scored in the 4-2 victory against Leicester on Sunday.

This is the first time the 25-year-old gets called up by the national team since August 2021. He only has one Spain cap.

Cucurella has made 14 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea so far this season. The goal against Leicester is his only goal contribution in this campaign so far.
