Chelsea already working to end reoccurring injury crisis - here's how

Chelsea are seeking to recruit a new head of performance medicine after medical director Dimitrios ‘Dimi’ Kalogiannidis and others departed the club.

According to reports, the Blues are accepting applicants and are believed to be offering a salary worth around £250,000.

As well as assessing injuries and sorting rehab schedules, the winning candidate will also help oversee the medicals of new signings as Chelsea look to add to their squad this summer, despite the outside world insisting they need to sell to pass the Premier League's financial rules.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team have spent much of this campaign in crisis mode with captain Reece James among those still in rehab without a return date.  Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia, Christopher Nkunku and Lesley Ugochukwu are others who remain in varying stages of recovery.
