Moises Caicedo says Chelsea staff are excited about the prospects and talent of Kendry Paez.
He, however, warned that it would take a lot of self-application on and off the pitch for the wunderkind to fulfil his enormous skill.
Caicedo said: “They talk a lot about him, more like all the Staff, who are always watching him in the videos, who want to have him here now.
"The time he came they wanted him to stay because everyone knows that he is great and if he does his part and dedicates himself every day, in training and outside, he will be a total great."
Chelsea spent £17.27million to sign the 16-year-old. He's even been to Stamford Bridge to train but what turned heads was that he scored on his debut for Independiente del Valle, becoming the youngest debutant and scorer in the Ecuadorian top flight.
Paez has six caps and a goal to his name for his country. However, this week, it emerged that the teenager is under investigation by The Ecuadorian Football Federation after a video footage appeared to show him partying with two teammates in a New York strip club while away on international duty.
