'He's suffered by being in a team that's misfiring': Gareth Southgate told to include Sterling in England squad

Speaking on talkSPORT, Graeme Souness said: "Gareth Southgate should take Raheem Sterling to the Euros.

"Why? Because of what Sterling has done for England in the past. I believe you take him to the Euros this summer.

"The one thing defenders are absolutely terrified of is genuine pace. He's got that. I think he's suffered by being in a team that’s misfiring."

Sterling has not played for England since the 2022 World Cup with Southgate ignoring the winger even during his better days at Stamford Bridge.

Given how the 29-year-old is not even impressing Chelsea fans these days, it's hard to see how he can change Southgate's mind ahead of Euro 2024.
