Simon Jordan slams Chelsea fans after anti-Boehly sticker campaign, calls them 'real clowns'

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Simon Jordan said: "Pathetic self-important Chelsea fans are the real clowns — not Todd Boehly. I've never known a club turn on itself on the basis of owners mis-spending over £1 billion on new players. Normally, it's the other way around!

"Chelsea fans have been distributing stickers of owners Behdad Eghbali and Todd Boehly mocked up as clowns. It's disrespectful, unnecessary and doesn't help anyone. It's a really poor reflection of Chelsea fans. How can these self-important, entitled miscreants do this?

"Chelsea have been in a final [EFL Cup], are in a semi-final [FA Cup] and can qualify for Europe via the league. They've been poor at times but they're not that far off. The owners are clearly invested and while they've made mistakes, you show me someone who's never made a mistake."

"Patience is required. There should be an element of gratitude towards people doing their best, making mistakes but who will get it right in the end. But football fans want instantaneous gratification. Let me tell you, how about being constructive? They can't live in the past forever."

The Chelsea Supporters' Trust have launched a campaign against the new club owners, starting a sticker campaign that depictins them as clowns.

The fans believe that the club has turned into 'a laughing stock' under the new ownership compared to successful years of Roman Abramovich.
