Enzo Fernandez playing on painkillers, considers surgery

Enzo Fernandez has been playing through a hernia injury over the past few months, according to reports in Argentina. The World Cup winner has been taking painkilling injections to stay in contention for Chelsea.

However, the injury keeps bothering him, forcing him to miss the Everton game. The midfielder considers undergoing surgery to make sure he's fit for Copa America in June.

Going under the knife would rule the 23-year-old out for three weeks. The final decision will be made together with Chelsea's doctors before the FA Cup semi-final against Man City on April 20.

Enzo has been one of the fittest players in the squad this season, at least by Chelsea's standards. He's featured in 38 games out of 43 the Blues have played so far this season.
