It's not the first time Chelsea players fight over who will take the penalty - it also happened in 2008

Three Chelsea players fought over a penalty kick during Monday's 6-0 win against Everton.

Chelsea were already 4-0 up midway through the second half when Cole Palmer was fouled by Toffees midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure inside the 18-yard box.

As the players were waiting for the VAR to confirm the award of the penalty, Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke were seen arguing over who should take it. But Chelsea captain Conor Gallagher eventually intervened and gave the ball to Palmer, the regular spot-kick taker.

This is not the first time this has happened, the same episode was between Michael Ballack and Didier Drogba back in 2008.

Two world-class players fighting for the opportunity to have an impact in a must-win game? You've just got to love the passion on show, with Drogba eventually emerging as the winner.

After the game, the Ivorian striker still had to downplay the debacle, despite the fact he had celebrated with Ballack at the time when Nicolas Jackson was forced to celebrate the goal, and was as quiet as possible.
