Real reason why Jackson wanted to take Palmer's penalty so bad revealed

There were ugly scenes in the second half of Chelsea's 6-0 victory against Everton on Monday. First Noni Madueke, then Nico Jackson tried to take the ball from Cole Palmer, who was supposed to take the penalty.

Palmer ended up scoring from the spot but the footage of Jackson attacking him in an attempt to get the ball definitely wasn't a good look for Chelsea.

The Telegraph report that the Senegalese's behaviour is down to his personal objectives. He's set a goal to score 15 league goals this season and wants to achieve it at all costs. He also hopes to get to 20 goals across all competitions.

The 22-year-old is currently on 13 goals in 36 matches across all competitions. He's scored ten goals in the Premier League.

It is also reported that Jackson will not repeat such actions.
