Barcelona legend and World Cup-winning defender Carles Puyol has lavished praise on one Chelsea midfielder and it isn't Cole Palmer or Enzo Fernandez.
Moises Caicedo is the man to have caught Puyol's eye, who believes he will show his quality with time.
“A great player, who has the necessary quality, the necessary talent to be able to do important things; then other aspects must be given, but the most important thing is that he’s in a great team where he can grow a lot.”
Speaking about Caicedo's national team Ecuador, Puyol added: “A team that competes well, and now we’ll see how far they can go in the Copa America with players like Caicedo, who is good; but not only him, because there are many young players who are showing a good level, a reflection of the great work they are doing.”
One of the many young players alongside Caicedo at the Copa America this summer will be future Chelsea star Kendry Paez, who will be hoping for a breakthrough tournament before his arrival at the club in 2025.
