Newcastle lose points: Can win vs Nottingham Forest secure 6th place for Chelsea?

Good news for Chelsea as the Blues' main rivals in the table lost points. Newcastle's game against Brighton finished with a 1-1 score and it means that Chelsea can equalize the points with Eddie Howe's team if Pochettino's side win Forest.

Unfortunately, it will be still not enough to get a 6th place, because the Blues have a worse goal difference: 11 goals for Chelsea and 22 for Newcastle.

There is still hope. For the two remaining fixtures, Newcastle have Manchester United and Brentford. Even though the Red Devils are not in the best form right now they can still help Chelsea by getting at least a draw against Eddie Howe's team.

As for Chelsea, the two remaining fixtures after the Forest game will be Brighton and Bournemouth.
