Man United defeated by Arsenal: update on race for Europe

Chelsea stay seventh in the Premier League table after this weekend as Man United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford.

With two games to go for each side, Chelsea have a three-point lead over Man United for the last place that can guarantee European football for the next season.

The Blues are also level on points with Newcastle who are ahead on goal difference.

Man United can still qualify for the Europa League even if they finish outside of the top seven — but they have to beat Man City in the FA Cup final to achieve that.

If they do, a seventh-place finish won't be enough for Chelsea to play in Europe next season, so they must hope Newcastle drop points too.
