'Unironically needs fewer brain cells': Fans react as Jackson tops Drogba's tally in debut Chelsea campaign

After scoring against Forest, Nicolas Jackson now has 17 goals in all competitions in his first season. With such a record he surpasses Didier Drogba’s tally (16) during his first campaign at Stamford Bridge.

The comparison provoked comments from Chelsea fans with some praising Jackson and others saying that goals are not enough.

@RickieOsoro: "He is a raw talent and can find himself in good positions. If Poch works on his finishing, he can be one of the best strikers in the world."

@kolang_thuch: "Congrats he set expectations for himself & achieved 👏"

@MiniThought17: "He's gonna be scary when he gets going... Rivals better start praying."

@afcmalo1: "He will retire a legend if Chelsea give him more chances to prove and improve."

@kasperwise: "It takes more than goals. Drogba was physically present and contributing to carrying that team. Leave the goals out and he is still a big reason we won the title. Jackson needs time but stop this unfair comparison. It doesn't make people like him any better."

@Estanis72: "I'm glad for Jackson but he isn't Didier, I hope I'm wrong but this is my humble opinion..."

@cyphaltg: "The thing is, he should have MORE, which makes this stat annoyingly hard to be happy with."

@Rancho472: "Dude should be having 25 easily with all the services."

Jackson scored 17 goals in 42 appearances for the club. He also made 6 assists and got 10 yellow cards which is an interesting aspect of his game
