Initial fee for Estevao Willian agreed, add-ons could reach nearly the same figure (reliability: 5 stars)

As reported earlier, Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Palmeiras winger Estevao Willian for a total fee of €65m.

However, Chelsea have managed to structure the deal in a way that they only pay half as much initially.

According to Matt Law, the guaranteed sum is just £29.15m (€34m),

It means that more than €30m will only be paid in add-ons if some clauses are met. The exact conditions are yet to be revealed.

Estevao is expected to sign at least a seven-year deal with Chelsea and will formally join the club in 2025 when he turns 18 years old.
