Compete for trophies: Chelsea owners' requirements for next manager

Mauricio Pochettino parted ways with Chelsea after extensive talks with the sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart as well as co-controlling owners Behdad Eghbali and Todd Boehly.

There have been a number of names linked with the Chelsea job but Sebastian Hoeness, Michel, Kieran McKenna and Enzo Maresca currently seem to be the frontrunners.

The next Chelsea manager will reportedly be under pressure to get the club into the Champions League and also win trophies.

The owners listed their expectations in the matchday programme ahead of Chelsea's final league game of the season. These are all the things they hope to achieve with the club in the future.

“Consistently winning or contending for the Premier League and Women’s Super League titles. Consistently playing in the Champions League and competing for domestic cups. Consistently competing for titles across the youth age groups.

"Developing and discovering the next generation of footballing talent for the benefit of the club. Being responsible actors and contributors to our community, while meeting Financial Fair Play and other regulatory requirements. Earning the trust and confidence of our supporters.”
