Conor Gallagher spoke to the club website about Chelsea's season gone by and claimed that it was a great end to the campaign, having secured European football.
"It was a fantastic end to the season," he started. "I think we won the last five games and it’s a great achievement for us.
"Securing European football is also a great achievement considering where we were at, but the expectation at Chelsea is more than what we have achieved this season. Everyone knows that but considering the moment, it’s a great achievement."
"Personally, I think it’s been a successful season for myself," he added.
"I’m really thankful to the fans for believing in me and showing their support throughout the season because it has helped me grow in confidence and perform the way we have, so I’m very thankful for that.
"I’ve scored a few goals which has been very nice. You can’t beat the feeling of scoring and I’m really happy that I’ve been able to help the team out because that’s the most important thing."
Gallagher's future remains uncertain with the club needing to sell homegrown talent to keep in line with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.
Outgoing boss Mauricio Pochettino was adamant on keeping the midfielder at Chelsea but his departure now means Conor's future is up in the air.
