Chelsea in talks to sign 18-year-old Nigerian striker after successful trial (reliability: 5 stars)

According to BBC, Chelsea have begun talks over the signing of triallist Hafiz Umar Ibrahim from Nigerian club Ojodu City.

The 18-year-old striker has spent two months on trial at Chelsea. He is expected to join the Blues permanently.

The teenager attracted Chelsea's attention at the Viareggio Cup in Italy early this year where he scored 10 goals in six games.

If the transfer to Chelsea is finalised, Ibrahim could move to Strasbourg afterwards where he could have a better chance of playing.
