Final candidate on Chelsea manager shortlist revealed — Sky Sports

Earlier this week, three managers were reported to be on Chelsea's shortlist to become the next manager.

However, along with Thomas Frank, Enzo Maresca and Kieran McKenna, there was a fourth unnamed candidate mentioned in the reports.

Now, Sky Sports claims that this fourth candidate is — in a somewhat anticlimactic turn — Roberto De Zerbi, the only coach on the list currently out of work.

The former Brighton manager is prepared to return to work immediately, but there are no frontrunners for his signature yet.

Chelsea hope to be in a position to announce Mauricio Pochettino's replacement at the start of June, so that the new head coach would have time to prepare for the pre-season.
