Chelsea closer to appointing Enzo Maresca as head coach – multiple reports

Fabrizio Romano and John Percy of The Telegraph are reporting that Chelsea are in advanced talks with their number one managerial target, Enzo Maresca.

Numerous outlets are now reporting the same information as it seems we may see Maresca take over at Chelsea soon.

"Chelsea are advancing in talks to appoint Enzo Maresca as new head coach," reports Romano.

"Positive talks over the weekend, he’s 100% keen and excited by the Chelsea project.

"No issues on Maresca’s contract already being discussed — talks to follow with Leicester City over €10m compensation fee."

Maresca worked under Pep Guardiola during his time at Man City and his possession-based style of football is what appealed to the Chelsea ownership, as per Jacob Percy.
