According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign 18-year-old Aston Villa attacker Omari Kellyman.
Romano tweeted: "Omari Kellyman to Chelsea, here we go! Deal in place also on player side after club-to-club agreement with Villa. Verbal agreement on £19m fee. Contract until 2030 plus +1 year option."
Kellyman's signing is formally not linked with the deal for Ian Maatsen who is set to join Villa for ₤37.5m. However, some sceptics argue that by inflating the value of both deals, Chelsea and Villa help each other avoid breaking financial rules.
It is claimed that Kellyman will be a first-team signing, although a loan could be a possibility for the player who played a total of five games in professional football.
