The Antoine Griezmann transfer saga isn't going to stop. The Frenchman adorns the front page of Thursday's edition of the Barcelona-based top source Mundo Deportivo with a telling header: 'Griezmann bomb'. Apparently, there is an update on the Catalans' alleged pursuit.
According to MD, Griezmann is so desperate to join Barcelona that he is ready to accept a huge salary reduce at the Camp Nou stadium. He is currently earning €23 million net, however, he would reportedly agree on the figure of the €16 million per year, as it was stated in the pre-agreement with Barcelona last year.
It is well-known that Barcelona have some troubles to balance their books that's why they wouldn't be able to afford Griezmann's wages. However, the Frenchman receives quite a lot at Atletico Madrid indeed. It was one of the conditions on his renewal last summer.
It should be noted that Mundo Deportivo's report contradicts the most recent statement from the Madrid-based Marca who are certain that Barcelona are no longer interested in Griezmann following his last year's demonstrative rejection.
By the way, the player himself has lately commented on the transfer rumours in a rather firm manner, as quoted by Univision: "I'm already used to it and a little bit fed up, every year it's the same, so I'm used to it."
