Ter Stegen only plays one half but manages to keep a clean sheet for Germany

The same old story: Marc-Andre ter Stegen isn't considered to be Germany first-choice goalkeeper even though his consistency at Barcelona proves otherwise. As Bundesteam faced Serbia in a friendly this Wednesday, it was once again Manuel Neuer who started between the sticks from the first minutes.

The Cules are already angry at Germany national team head coach Joachim Low, especially following his bizarre decision not to give Ter Stegen a single minute in last summer's World Cup. However, the boss said prior to the Serbia match that Ter Stegen will enter the pitch for the second half.

Low kept his promise: Ter Stegen replaced Manuel Neuer after the break and managed to keep a clean sheet. He delivered a stunning save close to the end of the game which proves his incredible form. At Barca, meanwhile, he has kept 15 clean sheets in 38 games.

Unfortunately for Germany, Ter Stegen's clean sheet wasn't enough. In the first half, Barcelona target Luka Jovic managed to score past Manuel Neuer from a powerful header. However, Bayern Munich star Leon Goretzka levelled the score in the second half.
