Written by Nicolas Horn and Christian Spiller for Die Zeit:

The Prince Charles of German football – the only difference: Marc-Andre ter Stegen is still waiting to be anointed. Arguably the best backup keeper in the world, he has largely accepted his lot barring a brief war of words in 2019 – there is no Kahn v Lehmann type of rivalry with Neuer. That said, there were plenty of observers who thought Ter Stegen would be No 1 at these Euros. Most likely, that won't happen. The Barcelona keeper is now 32 years old and has earned 40 caps, but has never played at the Euros or World Cup finals. Will he start a revolt? Given he is best known off the field for running an absurdly boring Twitter account, it seems unlikely.
