The coronavirus pandemic has forced football to be suspended across top European leagues. That has hit the revenue of clubs badly.

Barcelona are also affected. In the wake of the crisis, Barca have reportedly proposed a 70% cut from the wages of first-team players.

If that is enforced, the 11 players who stands to lose the most are Leo Messi, Luis Suarez, Frenkie de Jong, Antoine Griezmann, Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic, Gerard Pique, Ousmane Dembele, Samuel Umtiti, Sergi Roberto and Jordi Alba.

  • Messi will go from £500,000 per week to £150,000 per week.
  • Luis Suarez: from £405,000 per week to £121,500 per week.
  • Frenkie de Jong: from £360,000 per week to £108,000 per week.
