Just like other Barcelona's stars, Marc-Andre ter Stegen remains in confinement amid the coronavirus pandemic. He shed some light on his family life during a Q&A session with the fans on Thursday.
When asked on his role model, the German emotionally named his wife Daniela as the perfect example. Marca quote Ter Stegen as saying: "My role model? My wife inspires me a lot. Because she always puts so much passion into everything she does."
He added that he and his wife were currently watching famous Spanish TV series La Casa del Papel. Ter Stegen said: "I love Will Smith movies. I’m watching Money Heist again with my wife. She hadn’t seen it before. It’s incredible."
Marc-Andre married his longtime girlfriend Daniela Jehle on July 15, 2017. The couple welcomed their first child on December 28, 2019. They named their baby boy Ben.
Ter Stegen arrived at Camp Nou from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2014. After he spent two seasons as a second-choice goalkeeper after Claudio Bravo, the German finally took his place in Barca's goal to become one of the most recognized shot-stoppers in the world.
