Barcelona players have rejected another pay cut proposal from Josep Maria Bartomeu, report RAC1.
The club president fears for the club's financial stability and has therefore asked the players to have their wages reduced even when the season resumes.
In April, the Barca stars agreed a 70% cut during the pause caused by the coronavirus. However, with the season resuming on 11 June, the previous agreement is bound to expire.
That move allowed the club to save more than €40m while each player would lose more than 20% of his annual wages. This is the point beyond which the squad are not ready to go.
Blaugrana are to play 11 more matchdays as they sit two points clear of Real Madrid. Their next encounter will be against Mallorca, which is scheduled to be played on June 13.
